Impact in the World

Covenant is thrilled to be part of sharing God's Covenant Love around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our resources and with our prayers. Covenant supports missionaries through the Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship, contributions to PCUSA, and individual missionaries throughout the world. Members of Covenant have participated in Mission trips to Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Maji, Ethiopia

Partnering with other churches in the Treasure Valley, Covenant helped raise over $13,000 in the fall of 2018 to deliver a new water pump for a village in Maji, Ethipoia.  Click here to read the latest from the Maji Water Development Project.  Maji_Water_Project_Update.pdf

Sharing God's #CovenantLove in Maji

  • Community CHurch in Maji

This congregation was formed by Presbyterian missionaries in the mid twentieth century.  The Rev. Harold Kurtz, along with his family spent many years in Maji sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.  Harold's daughter Caroline continues to work in the village.

  • The Broken Pump

This is a photo of the pump that we helped replace.  The new pump uses 1/3 of the diesel required to run the pump!

  • Running Water in MajI!

A nice photo of clean, running water flowing again in the village!
