Mops ministry bible study

Two Studies will be offered this fall, Beginning Sept. 21st:

"Marriage Without Regrets: Learning How to Be One".
Single and married women will benefit from this thorough study of God's Word on marriage—the roles of husband and wife, effective and compassionate communication, sex, love, finances, divorce, and remarriage. Marriages around the world have been changed and enriched by this study!
 "Half Truths".
True or false:
1. Everything happens for a reason.
2. God helps those who help themselves.
3. God won’t give you more than you can handle.
4. God said it, I believe it, that settles it.
5. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
All true? Not so fast. We’ve heard these phrases all of our lives, but in Adam Hamilton’s new book, Half Truths, you’ll learn that although they capture some element of truth, when compared to the wisdom found in Scripture, they’re really just popular sayings.

Mothering matters…

because today makes a difference tomorrow.

Moms, what do you need most?

Me time. To be loved and appreciated. A sanity check. Patience. Freedom from guilt. Adult conversation. To get organized. More of me. Balance. To know that I’m normal.

To know it’ll all work out. Peace. Hope.

How can mops help?

MOPS helps you to define the worth of mothering. The value is in knowing that you are the mother your child needs; you have been chosen for the job! MOPS will help you learn how to fulfill your needs for identity, growth, relationships, help, perspective, and hope.

Each MOPS meeting will begin with yummy food while you enjoy fellowship with other moms. You will experience wonderful speakers who present topics that speak to you as a mom. Discussion time will allow you to connect with other women in a relaxed environment and creative activities will offer the opportunity to explore a new side of yourself.

Where do my children go while I’m in MOPS?

MOPS is committed to providing loving childcare! The MOPS Kids program offers a structured time for your children to hear stories, sing songs, enjoy a snack, make crafts and play. Children under age two will be cared for in the nursery while older children enjoy a classroom setting.

The dedicated MOPS Kids volunteers have all been screened and will offer your children a safe, nurturing environment.

How do I register and what does MOPS cost?

A $31.95 annual registration fee is collected to register the mom with MOPS International. Each mom will receive a subscription to MomSense magazine, receive weekly Mom-E-Mail messages, and other great benefits.

Local group supply fees are collected each semester to help pay for MOPS Kids supplies, creative activities for the moms, door prizes and table decor. Requests for scholarships will be directed to the MOPS Coordinator and kept confidential.

Where and when does mops meet?

MOPS meets at the church on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, except where it conflicts with holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We are currently accepting registrations for Fall 2018. Our existing group has priority registration until May 31st. Beginning June 1st, registration is open and conditional upon vacancies in our MOPS Kids program.

Our group’s capacity will be dictated by open childcare spots in our MOPS Kids program. To ensure a safe, quality program, the nursery and classes will be capped at the following numbers: Nursery: 14, Twos: 8, Threes: 10, Fours: 10, Fives/K: 10.

Space will be limited to ensure quality childcare. For more information, please contact Shana Woodbury at
