Adult Ministries at Covenant Presbyterian Church

It is God’s word that sustains us. If you are not part of a small group or study please consider joining one. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17- while the application is to salvation, it extends to believers as we are strengthened and encouraged in and through the Word of God. “…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”

Covenant Book Club

The book for August is Mother Teresa's Prescription: Finding Happiness and Peace in Service by Paul A. Wright.

Men’s Ministry

Come join us on Tuesday evenings starting in September 10th from 7 - 8:15pm in room 7 for some wonderful fellowship and sharing and learning the Word of God. We will be doing an 8-week guided inquiry into the books of Samuel using resources from the Yale Bible Study series. Regardless of one’s familiarity with these Old Testament books, this study will be interesting and worthwhile. Please email Doug McAbee at gotpyruvate@gmail.com for more information.

Additionally, there is a group of men who meet every Tuesday morning at 9:00pm for fellowship, coffee, and pastries.

All men are welcome.

Women's Ministries

Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Women's Bible Study

The women’s Bible study group will be starting up on September 10th. We will meet on Tuesdays from 1 PM to 2:15 PM. Every week except for the week of Thanksgiving, which is November 26. our last day will be December 3rd and then we will have a Christmas break. This autumn we are studying the “sermon on the mount”.

We will have a sign up at the information center at the end of August. If you have any questions, please contact Kay Grant 208-571-6792.

Covenant Women’s Fellowship

Come join the women of the church for morning coffee, tea and fellowship. This group meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 10:00 am.

21 Day Racial Justice Challenge

Dr. Michael Ross of St. Paul Baptist Church of Boise asked Covenant to consider undertaking the 21 day racial equity challenge. The challenge invites us to do something every day to raise awareness about the perniciousness of racism and encourage action in response to that awareness. The PC(USA) has joined several nonprofits, organizations and school systems in adapting the challenge for our use. Find the link to the challenge here
